MIKE'S MILD ALE: Don't be fooled by the name! The mild tag attests to the fact that the beer is lightly hopped. Mild ales are less bitter on the palate than fully hopped beers, with malt and barley tones dominating the flavour. Mild ale has a long history as a "restorative beer". Initially English farm labourers drank mild ale as a means of rehydrating and restoring vigour during their breaks. The popularity of mild ales continued when during the Industrial Revolution, factory workers also chose mild ale to quench their thirst. We have continued this fine tradition by bringing you our interpretation with this full strength mild ale containing 4% ABV. You will encounter complex aroma and flavours including chocolate, fresh roasted coffee and rich maltiness. The warm colour and full rewarding mouth feel complete the experience. |
